November is here, and it’s with a heart FULL of gratitude that I wish you a very happy… Fine Line Friday!
There are so many reasons that I love this month! Chief among them is the elevated focus on gratitude. And if you’re of a certain age, nothing says Thanksgiving like Paul Simon dressed in a giant turkey costume singing Still Crazy (SNL circa 1976). As a bonus, you might want to check out this link to Paul on The Dick Cavett Show not long before the SNL appearance, looking for advice on how to complete that yet-to-be-finished song.
For the past three years, Fine Line has been privileged to produce a series of videos honoring Atlanta’s Finest for the Atlanta Police Foundation’s Crime Is Toast Awards. With their permission, I’d like to share two of this year’s videos: Purple Heart and Meritorious Service. Chelsea produced these videos, and everyone on our team was completely humbled by the stories. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to help tell them.
Because November sometimes begins a more reflective time of year for many people, I’ve held on to this video from the folks at Big Think. It features Positive Psychologist (yep, that’s his title) Tal Ben Shahar, who has taught classes on the subjects of positivity and happiness at Harvard and Columbia. Spoiler alert—in keeping with this month’s theme, gratitude is part of the equation.
If you have not yet watched the final season of Ted Lasso, fair warning that you’ll see clips from season three in this uplifting montage. Full disclosure—I have not yet seen season three myself, but I didn’t care. Watching this video made me feel good. I hope it does the same for you.
With that I wish you all the best for the remainder of 2023! In the spirit of the season, I sincerely thank you for being connected in whatever way you are to Fine Line! Until we connect again, may you keep… Feeling Fine!
