William Cullen Bryant called Autumn …the year’s last, loveliest smile. Mmmmm… he sure got that right! And in an effort to elevate that smile, I’m back to wish you a very happy… Fine Line Friday!
For a lot of folks, fall is a time to go apple picking, but don’t worry if you have not yet taken the time to venture out to the orchard. There’s a good chance this SNL sketch will make you glad you did… errr… didn’t.
Fine Line stayed busy this fall the same way we did last year—producing a series of videos for the Atlanta Police Foundation’s Crime Is Toast Awards. We’re very grateful to be a part of this celebration that recognizes the city’s frontline heroes, and I’m happy to share a couple of their stories. First—the softer side of a SWAT team member who suddenly found himself performing CPR on an infant. And in perhaps the most impactful video of the event, we honored this year’s Purple Heart winner.
As alluded to above, it’s the season to celebrate gratitude. I’m grateful not only that The Boss dropped a new album last week, but that he recently promoted it on The Howard Stern Show. Bruce shared stories about his song writing process and performed acoustic versions of several classics. My favorite was the very moving story he told about Clarence before performing Land of Hope and Dreams.
Getting back to that gratitude theme… (it is November after all…)
I love when science and well-being intersect. If you’re looking for scientifically proven ways to improve your general state of mind, and maybe flex that gratitude muscle, you will likely enjoy this video about The Science of Gratitude.
And lastly…
Lest I leave without spreading some holiday cheer, I’ll let Steve Martin do the heavy lifting, bookending this note with another classic SNL sketch.
Until next time, I warmly wish you a happy holiday season and that you keep… Feeling Fine!
